Doberman different ear crops

The edges that are stitched around the bottom of her ear look very weird. I can't find any picture of a dobe that is only 2 days out from surgery so I don't quite know what is normal. The vet I chose is the only one that does ear crops in this area and has a love for dobermans and has had a lot of practice, so I don't know if I am overreacting.

I have not seen any appreciable difference in how long healing takes in either method. But I have seem some not very good shape in ears cropped by laser.The problem with sticking a cone on a puppy with newly cropped and not yet healed ears is that the cone itself tends to lay on parts of the ear as the puppy moves around and irritates the unhealed ear edge.
