Eco boost engines frankly use a lot diesel tech already turbo charged intercooled and high pressure common rail injection. I don't really see much advantage to a swap both the 2.3 and 2.7 have good low end torque and economy. I get 18+ mpg with a 2.3 sas 4 door I doubt a small diesel would be any better and I'm a diesel guy.Was just wondering if anyone has done the diesel swap. An entire donor truck would probably be the best bet for a succesful swap. It might very well be smarter/easier when its all said and done to set a J-Truck body on a Dodge 2500 chassis. A non-turbo GM 6.2/6.5 diesel is a viable swap into a big Jeep.
