I’ve owned several boss, ehx and MXR sub octave pedal. The pog will track better, but sound kind of synth-y, the boss didn’t track well at all imo and the MXR have decent tracking and sound very natural and analog. The newer MXRs don’t sound nearly as good or track as well as the early 2000’s sub octave I found on eBay. Until I started making my own cables I used right-angle pancakes, Hosa or Gotham — the Gotham Cables come from “World’s Best Cables” on Amazon, and Amazon also usually has good prices on the Hosa cables as well.
