1902 posts · Joined 2020. #13 · Feb 5, 2022. Two very good reasons to buy a FCU. 1- you have plenty of spare SIG pistol parts and may only need a FCU for complete pistol. 2- you want a pistol exactly to your specific wants as no single pistol sold is always perfect as is to everybody's desires.
So, I bought the factory safety kit parts from Sig and the MSAFE-T kit, which are largely cut-out templates for FCU modification. I watched the MSAFE-T video several times and went to town on an FCU during a rainy day yesterday. The disassembly, cutting and milling, and reassembly took a few hours.
